.. and I thought it was just the European Union, in the "democratic West" that put unelected officials in charge of law making and enforcement. It is little comfort to know that you are joining us on this particular slippery slide.
PS. So much for a government of the people, by the people and for the people. Welcome to the new reality.
The sad reality is the McNamee's, an elderly retired couple, have to spend money on legal fees to use their own property. The bright side, if you can call it that, is so far they can afford the legal fees with help from the Pacific Legal Foundation to fight the Coastal Commission.

I voted against the establishment of the Cal Coastal Commission for this very reason. Where is Arnold when we need him?

I'm glad that the City I work for is inland, so no Coastal Commission. This story is just another thing wrong with the lovely State of California.

And where's Arnold? Isn't that a good question.
The Governor is busy making appointments to all the different boards and commissions that he promised to reduce or eliminate.

An unreleased documentary film expose of the California Coastal Commission is under attack by the CCC. The just issued a subphoena to obtain a work print. A very chilling development for all filmmakers- especially ones involved in investigative documentary work when the commission you are exposing can get the film before its released http://www.sinsofcommission.com
