Regarding 'The Jobs Imperative.'
"Washington’s assumption that the economic recovery will trickle down to workers is wrong and unacceptable. It’s time for an emergency jobs program."
By PAUL KRUGMAN - Published: November 29, 2009
Franklin Delano Roosevelt (FDR)
Henry Morgenthau comes to mind. Henry Morgenthau served as FDR's Treasury secretary. Thus Morgenthau, who served from 1934 to 1945, was to FDR what current Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner is to Obama. Morgenthau wrote in 1939: "We have tried spending money. We are spending more than we have ever spent before and it does not work. I want to see this country prosperous. I want to see people get a job. I want to see people get enough to eat. We have never made good on our promises. ... I say after eight years of this Administration we have just as much unemployment as when we started ... and an enormous debt to boot!"
Have we forgotten so soon how the Federal Government turned a recession into a ten year depression. Those who do not learn from history are destined to repeat it.

Lightfoot Letters,
Subject: HR615 - .Please Just READ 1ST PARAGRAPH... you will be amazed.I'm sending this out several times, this is one way to make the difference that so many of us want to see. Please CHOOSE NOW, you may forget to come back to the email....WE HAVE A CHANCE TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE IN OUR FUTURE GENERATIONS.IF YOU JUST READ THE FIRST PARAGRAPH YOU WILL KNOW WHAT TO DO. If you choose to go to the website this puts our congress on notice.
HR615On Tuesday, the Senate health committee voted 12-11 in favor of a two-page amendment, courtesy of Republican Tom Coburn which would require all Members of Congress and their staff members to enroll in any new government-run health plan.Congressman John Fleming has proposed an amendment that would require Congressmen and Senators to take the same health care plan that they would force on us. (Under proposed legislation they are exempt..)
Congressman Fleming is encouraging people to go to his Website and sign his petition. The process is very simple. I have done just that at: http://fleming.house.gov/index.html
Senator Coburn and Congressman Fleming are both physicians. Regardless of your political beliefs, it sure seems reasonable that Congress should have exactly the same medical coverage that they impose on the rest of us.
Thank you,AngieLightfoot Letters wrote on Jul 11, 2009" Ocams Razor: If the government health care plan is better than private plans....why wouldn't all citizens participate. If the government health care plan is not as good as private plans..why would any citizen participate, with out force, fines and penalties? " (part of commentary published by LATimes group)

Office of the Attorney General
State of California
Edmund G. Brown Jr.
I urgently need you, Office of the Attorney General of the State of California, to demand that all State Attorneys General file an Amicus Brief stating they agree that the individual right to keep and bear arms is protected by the Second Amendment of the United States Constitution and applies to all 50 states.
McDonald v. Chicago., et al.
Edmund G. Brown, Jr.
Defense of ones' person, by whatever means necessary, is a natural right, that can not be denied or granted by the state. The Second Amendment does not grant this right. It is a guarantee that the Federal Government and the Several States will not abridge such rights.
As Attorney General of the State of California you have sworn to uphold those guarantees contained in and enumerated by the First Ten Amendments.
Respectfully,
Lightfoot Letters

Ladies and Gentlemen,
Problems progressives in public education cause or make worse.
1. You can not force young males to accept life styles that conflict with their genetic makeup. This can lead to psychological harm and eventually violence.
2. You can not teach young males not to defend themselves. One who can not or will not defend themselves will not defend others.
3, The concept of self-esteem is not something you can give or teach as put forth by public education. Self-esteem comes from personal accomplishment. Which, public education has diminished in the class room and on the playing field.
4 "To raise a child in a society without consequences is not in the best interest of the child or society." (related to No. 3.) Problems progressives in public education cause or make worse.
5. Public education must stop the practice of punishment for young males that belong to the Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts, ROTC or like organizations. And, stop any policies that hinder or restrict like organizations at each and every educational level. And at the same time allow and finance race/segregation based political organizations like The Race.
Most of the serious problems on campus is caused or made worse by progressives in public education.
*In the past kids could get a pack of smokes pretty easy. However, it was next to impossible to get beer, drugs or guns. Today it is slightly more difficult to get a pack of smokes. However, beer, drugs and guns are easily obtainable. In the past kids did not care if you were gay, straight or somewhere in between. According to public education, today it is a crisis at every level of a kids life. If kids have civil rights, they have a right to be kids. The progressive education system is a serious violation of those rights.
Sincerely,
Lightfoot Letters

..I have always had suspicions that groups like ACORN were nothing more than front groups for the political parties. I thought their worst sin was diverting tax dollars or donations for political cause and purpose.
The NEA (National Endowment for the Arts) pushes the White House agenda which is as corrupt as ACORN using tax dollars for political campaigns. NEA officials are more forthcoming than ACORN. The Federal Government pays and the NEA artists do the work to make a better world for us all. The conflict is their better world is partisan politics.
US Constitution Article I, Sec. 8, Amend. IX, X denies the federal government the authority to establish or fund ACORN, NEA or any like organizations. President Obama by his will to fine citizens without due process ( Amend. IV), to openly reap the benefits of corruption, has ignited a resistant to Federal Control not seen since the Civil War or the depression days of FDR. This problem will not go away for the President even if ACORN does. The tentacles of corruption will cause even the NEA (National Endowment for the Arts) to be investigated and all other like organizations.
The small acorn (ACORN) that turned into a giant oak (Article I, Sec. 8, Amend. IX, X IV) that could bring down a presidency.

President Obama using different words agreed with the letter to the White House dated Feb. 12, 2009. (see older posts for copy). In part I feel vindicated. In part it was most disturbing with his words no one knew how bad or how long the down turn in the economy would last. Yes, they did based on Hoover/FDR government spending and individuals saving or not spending. Even, I did and I'm not the brightest star in the sky.

Thought this might interest you regarding your 'Breakthrough Women' feature on Morning Express.
Dewey Whetsell a longtime commercial fisherman, veteran fire fighter and fire chief, jazz musician, and poet from Alaska penned a very nice retort to all of those who would say Sarah Palin isn't the real deal, a true leader.
"The last 45 of my 66 years I've spent in a commercial fishing town in Alaska. I understand Alaska politics but never understood national politics well until this last year. Here's the breaking point: Neither side of the Palin controversy gets It's not about persona, style, rhetoric, its about doing things. Even Palin supporters never mention the things that I'm about to mention here.
1- Democrats forget when Palin was the Darling of the Democrats, because as soon as Palin took the Governors office away from a fellow Republican and tough SOB, Frank Murkowski, she tore into the Republicans Corrupt Bastards Club (CBC) and sent them packing. Many of them are now residing in State housing and wearing orange jump suits. The Democrats reacted by skipping around the yard, throwing confetti and singing la la la la (well, you know how they are). Name another governor in this country that has ever done anything similar. But while you're thinking, I'll continue.
2- Now with the CBC gone, there were fewer Alaskan politicians to protect the huge, giant oil companies here. So, she constructed and enacted a new system of splitting the oil profits called ACES. Exxon (the biggest corporation in the world) protested and Sarah told them don't let the door hit you in the stern on your way out. They stayed, and Alaska residents went from being merely wealthy to being filthy rich. Of course the other huge international oil companies meekly fell in line. Again, give me the name of any other governor in the country that has done anything similar.
3- The other thing she did when she walked into the governors office is she got the list of State requests for federal funding for projects, known as pork. She went through the list, took 85% of them and placed them in the when-hell-freezes-over stack. She let locals know that if we need something built, well pay for it ourselves. Maybe she figured she could use the money she got from selling the previous governors jet because it was extravagant. Maybe she could use the money she saved by dismissing the governor's cook (remarking that she could cook for her own family), giving back the State vehicle issued to her, maintaining that she already had a car, and dismissing her State provided security force (never mentioning, I imagine, that she's packing heat herself). I'm still waiting to hear the names of those other governors.
4- Now, even with her much-ridiculed gosh and golly mannerism, she also managed to put together a totally new approach to getting a natural gas pipeline built which will be the biggest private construction project in the history of North America. No one else could do it although they tried. If that doesn't impress you, then you're trying too hard to be unimpressed while watching her do things like this while baking up a batch of brownies with her other hand.5- For 30 years, Exxon held a lease to do exploratory drilling at a place called Point Thompson. They made excuses the entire time why they couldn't start drilling. In truth they were holding it like an investment. No governor for 30 years could make them get started. This summer, she told them she was revoking their lease and kicking them out. They protested and threatened court action. She shrugged and reminded them that she knew the way to the court house. Alaska won again.
6- President Obama wants the nation to be on 25% renewable resources for electricity by 2025. Sarah went to the legislature and submitted her plan for Alaska to be at 50% renewables by 2025. We are already at 25%. I can give you more specifics about things done, as opposed to style and persona . Everybody wants to be cool, sound cool, look cool. But that’s just a cover-up. I'm still waiting to hear from Democrats the names of other governors who can match what mine has done in two and a half years.
Dewey Whetsell is not the only one that would be interested in your thoughts regarding Sara Palin.Lightfoot Letters

THIS JUST IN ......
Democrats, realizing the success of the President's "Cash For Clunkers" rebate program, have revamped a major portion of their National Health Care Plan.
President Obama, Speaker Pelosi, and Sen. Reed are expected to make this major announcement at a joint news conference later this week. I have obtained an advanced copy of the proposal which is named....
"CASH FOR CODGERS" and it works like this... Couples wishing to access health care funds in order to pay for the delivery of a child will be required to turn in one old person. The amount the government grants them will be fixed according to a sliding scale. Older and more prescription dependent codgers will garner the highest amounts.
President Obama turning in one of the old Codgers.
Special "Bonuses" will be paid for those submitting codgers in targeted groups, such as smokers, alcohol drinkers, persons 10 pounds over their government prescribed weight, and any member of the Republican Party.
Smaller bonuses will be given for codgers who consume beef, soda, fried foods, potato chips, lattes, whole milk, dairy products, bacon, Brussel sprouts, or Girl Scout Cookies.
All codgers will be rendered totally useless via toxic injection. This will insure that they are not secretly resold or their body parts harvested to keep other codgers in repair.
Remember you heard it here first...
Best regards,
Steve and Joyce

Dennis,
Thank you for sending me the two links regarding the kind of government we should be and the kind of government we have. The first link I had seen posted on http://libertyviews.vox.com/ Mar. 2009. The second link is just as informative. At least one Representative, Michele Bachman of Minnesota, is paying attention and making the issues, of what our government is becoming, public debate. Both links are listed below.
Michele Bachman, Rep. from Minesota
I truly believe that is long as one person is paying attention there is hope for the future generations to live life as free as I have managed to acheive (on a very low budget).
Thanks again,
